“Our freedom has been hardly won, our duty to keep it alive”: Tendulkar, Gambir, Pathan Wish on the day of independence | Cricket news

Friday, several current and old Indian cricket players, as well as the IPL franchises, went to social networks to grant greetings on the occasion of the 79th day of India independence. The wishes came while Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the tricolor of Delhi’s Red Fort, with celebrations that take place across the country. The legendary Sachin Tendulkar posted a photo of himself by proudly waving the Indian flag when he wanted his disciples on X. “Happy Independence Day! I Jai Hind!” wrote the 52 -year -old man.

The head coach of India, Gautam Gambhir, posted a photo of himself celebrating during his days of play, with the Habs in the background. He wrote: “My country, my identity, my life! I have Hind! ” – A message that resonated with fans through India.

The BCCI posted on X, “wishing all the Indians for a good day of independence I Hind.” The old India VVS Laxman paste, recalling the value of freedom, wrote: “On this independence day, we remember the innumerable sacrifices that have earned us the gift of freedom. Let us try every day to build a brighter and stronger India which our future generations will be proud. You wish you a good day of independence! I have Hind! “Rohit Sharma posted a photo of himself with the Indian flag on Instagram, which immediately became viral. The message has obtained more than 5,000,000 likes less than half of the publication.

The former versatile Irfan Pathan underlined the responsibility that accompanies freedom. “Wishing all Indians a good day of independence! Our freedom was hardly won; Our duty is to keep it alive – in spirit, in action and in unity. I have Hind! ” He posted. Hherik Pandya too, went to X and kept simple things with “Happy Independence Day, India”. Tilak Varma, a key element on the T20i side of India, shared: “My biggest motivation is to play for my country, it is the greatest honor to represent India on the world stage. I wish you all a very good day of independence. ”

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi deployed the national flag of Fort Rouge, helped by flight agent Rashika Sharma. Flower petals were showered by two helicopters of the Indian Air Force, one carrying the national flag and the other the flag of the operation “Operation Sindoor”. IPL Franchises also joined the celebrations, by publishing greetings of fans on social networks to mark the occasion.
