Osf Richard L. Owens Hospice Home

Today is the blessing ceremony of the Hospice house Richard L. Owens OSF. This is a special day not only for all of us involved in our palliative care and home care services, but also for OSF health care as a whole.
For those of you who do not know the Hospice Home approach, it is designed to be the ideal house far from home. A palliative care house offers patients and families the possibility of expanding its relationship and providing optimal medical care in a warm and comfortable environment with 24 -hour care. A Hospice House is a place to live and accept the end of life in peace, with comfort and dignity.
The Hospice Hospice Osf Richard L. Owens is located near the OSF center for the health of Route 91 in Peoria, Illinois. It is the first house in hospice in the center of Illinois and only the fourth installation of this type in the state of Illinois. The house is named in memory of Richard L. Owens to recognize the generous gift of $ 2 million from Mrs. Owens. The total cost of the house, including an endowment fund for patients, should be nearly $ 10 million.
In addition, employees of the OSF Home Care are completely passionate about the Hospice House project Richard L. Owens, many of whom are for personal reasons. To find out more about our employees and what this project means for them, visit our library of testimonies of OSF home.
