Orlando Pride Break’s Women’s Transfer Record to sign Lizbeth Ovalle for 1.1 million pounds sterling

The owner and president of pride Mark Wilf said that Ovalle “is a world class talent and a proven winner, and that his arrival in Orlando marks another stage of our trip to position pride among the elite clubs of world women’s football”.
Ovalle began his career at Tigres in 2017 and helped them win six league titles.
She leaves the Mexican club as their top scorer of all time with 136 goals and 103 assists in 294 appearances during an eight -year stay.
Ovalle also won 81 international ceilings for Mexico, scoring 20 goals and was included in the tournament team during the CONCACAF W 2024 Golden Cup in the United States.
Last year, Pride signed the Zambia striker Barbra Banda of the Chinese club Shanghai Shengli for £ 581,000, then the second most expensive transfer in women’s football.
Ovalle will join a team with the legend of Brazil Marta, who joined them in 2017, and the English goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse.
Chelsea paid £ 900,000 to sign the United States defender Naomi Girma from San Diego Wave in January, but this is now third on the most expensive female transfers list.
