OPENAI modifies copyright controls, offers monetization to Sora after the concerns

The CEO of Openai, Sam Altman, published a major update for the AI Sora video application following the copyright problems of Hollywood.
The Tech Power Player published a new declaration on Friday evening, where he confirmed that two new changes came to the application – one of which will give more control of the rights of rights to right -handers.
“We have quickly learned how people use Sora and take user comments, rights and other interested groups,” Altman wrote in a new blog. “We have of course spent a lot of time discussing it before the launch, but now that we have a product, we can do more than theorize.”
As he continued, Altman noted that the new changes were only two of “many others to come”.
“First of all, we will give the rights a more granular control over the generation of characters, similar to the opt-in model for resemblance but with additional controls,” he continued. “We hear many right-wing passers-by who are very excited for this new type of interactive fan-fiction ” and think that this new type of engagement will accumulate a lot for them, but you will want the ability to specify how their characters can be used (including not at all).”
Sora’s initial policy forced companies to explicitly say that they did not want their IP to appear on the application. Otherwise, the content protected by copyright could be found on Sora. Disney has already withdrawn.
This has aroused a concern in Hollywood, which prompted a response from Altman, who theorized users “will try very different approaches and determine what works for them”.
He added: “We want to apply the same standard to everyone and let the rights decide how to proceed (our goal of course is to make so convincing that many people wish). There may be cases of generations of generations that should not, and operate our battery that works well. ”
Altman then noted that Sora would also experiment with monetizing the videos. In particular, the CEO explained that they would explore the sharing of income with right -handers when their characters are used.
“The exact model will take tests and errors to understand, but we plan to start very soon,” said Altman. “Our hope is that the new type of commitment is even more precious than the share of income, but of course, we want both to be precious.”
Before signing his note, Altman warned that there would probably be both “good decisions and missteps” because they implement the changes.
