One Fight Night 36: “I Could Absolutely Be That Person”

Multi-Time Muay Thai World Champion Selina Flores made an immediate impression in her highly anticipated championship debut, and she’s already shooting her way to the top of the division.

American Striking Dynamo scored a unanimous decision victory over former world title challenger Marie McManamon in her Muay Thai Night fight at One Fight 36 on Friday (October 3) in Bangkok, Thailand.

Straight after her triumph, the 27-year-old spoke to fight journalist Nick Atkin and made it clear that she is ready to challenge for Muay Thai Atom gold if the opportunity presents itself.

Selina Flores said:

“I mean, I think it could. I think things happen and people have to step up and fill roles, and I think I absolutely could be that person.”

She further continued:

“Again, I’m ready to fight again. I’m healthy – obviously, once these heal – but I’m ready to step in whenever I need to, and that’s my goal. I think everyone asks me that and tries to stir the pot a little bit, which I totally understand. But yeah, that’s what I’m here for. I’m not afraid to say that – that’s the goal.”

The “Art of Eight Lembs” specialist, known as “Teep Queen” for her devastating kicks, extended her winning streak to five with victory over the Irish English standout, who opened her promotional account with a loss to Rodrigues on Fight Night 29 in March.

North American fight fans who missed the action from One Fight Night 36: Prajanchai vs. Di Bella II can watch the card in its entirety via the replay on Amazon Prime Video.

Selina Flores can expect a test like no other if she gets a shot at Rodrigues’ crown

Selina Flores may have looked impressive throughout her nine-minute fight against McManamon, displaying every trait and quality that made her a WBC Muay Thai world champion.

However, Allycia Hellen Rodrigues presents a much tougher challenge in terms of technique, power and in-ring IQ.

The Brazilian mom-champ is enjoying a 5-0 run in the organization’s atomweight division, and based on her last two outings, she doesn’t look like she’ll relinquish her one-woman Muay Thai world title.

Rodrigues scored knockouts against the consequences against Marie McManamon and Johanna Persson in 2025, proving very well that no one can match her skills at Atomweight.
