On the track of the Switcheroo Hud / NSF and the mystery of the Manoir du Ciel on the top floor

I wanted to update you on the story that I pointed out yesterday in which the secretary of housing and urban development (HUD), Scott Turner, decided to Bogart the offices of the Trump-Beagée National Science Foundation (NSF) at least in part to build a Sky manor on the best floors of the building. Stories like this have always had a special fascination for me. You cannot say that it is a bigger story than the United States that goes to war with Iran or the American military low-fi occupying a big American city. But in addition to its immediate impact on three or four thousand people – the employees of Hud and NSF – it captures so much what Washington, from the Trump 2025 era. As is probably without saying it, there does not seem to have been a formal process behind it. There is a very sopranos feeling at the entire caper: “Beautiful place you have here. It’s me now.
