Oleksandr Usyk is an undisputed heavyweight champion for the second time in his career. The Usyk dominated Daniel Dubois in their revenge in London. With the victory, Usyk added the title IBF that he has never lost against his WBA, WBO and WBC championships.
Usyk defeated Dubois at his meeting in 2023, a fight before becoming undisputed champion by beating Tyson Fury, but Dubois and his team hung on to the idea that he deserved a knockdown for a shot that had been a low blow. Usyk got up with the fault to eliminate Dubois around 9 that night, but the controversy remained and left Dubois as if he had been injured.
There was no controversy on Saturday evening while the Usyk dominated the fight of the first moments, by easily choosing Dubois with a punctual blow while brilliantly defending the power of Dubois. Once Usyk has established a pace, he started hurting Dubois with heavy meters.
Dubois was injured for the first time in the second round, when Usyk won a hard counter from his Southpaw position. Dubois survived the English Channel, but was injured several times while Usyk’s brilliance continued to show it.
In the fifth round, Dubois tried to wedge Usyk and unload a burst, but a hard blow behind the Usyk ear sent him spread on the canvas. Dubois beat the count and tried to bring the fight to Ushk only so that Usyk won a bomb of a left hand which dropped Dubois and unable to beat the count to brand 1:52 of the Tour 5.
