“There is always a message in music.” 🎹 HBO Max revealed his official trailer for the energetic and fascinating musical documentary called Billy Joel: And that’s okay. This doc in the history of biopic music concerns life and times and songs (and girlfriends) of the New Yorker’s songwriter / musician Billy Joel – He comes from his first at the Tribeca Film Festival. The two-part doc is ready to make its starting start on HBO Max later this month. Intro of Tribeca: “Directors Susan Lacy and Jessica Levin weave rare archive images and never seen before with candid and depressed interviews to trace the dazzling climb of Billy Joel – Humble Long island Roots to the international superstom. The film withdraws the curtain on Joel’s private world with new performances, intimate films, behind the scenes that have remained locked up so far … Titled after one of Joel’s most personal songs – written during a tumultuous love story – the film DOC captures a singular voice whose music has become the band of bands and inspiration. The 2 -part film is drawn up around exclusive and exclusive interviews with Billy JoelIlluminating all the key moments that forged his character and the events and the muses that inspired his music for more than six decades. Exploring a new revealing territory and enriched by video clips and dynamic performance of its musical work, many never seen before, it is a window on its process and recounts its monumental successes, while diving into the hidden complexities of its life. From his childhood to Long Island, shaped by the absence of his father, to his first groups, the women he loved, and his colleagues and collaborators who supported and betrayed him, the decades of composer of Joel reflect his rich and complicated autobiography. Sharing original stories on graphic successes like “Just The Way You Are”, an ode to his first love, and “Uptown Girl”, famous on the second wife Christie Brinkley, the film points to the narrow symbiosis between her life and art, revealing the truth in music that transformed his career, carved his heritage and saved his life. 🎤
