“One day, we will all live in computers …” That’s sure. Oscilloscope Labs unveiled the complete trailer for ObeyA fantastic science fiction creation of the particular indie fantasy of the filmmaker’s mind Albert Birney (also Strawberry mansion). This first was presented at the Film of Sundance 2025 in the following experimental section, then played criticism from Riverrun, Atlanta, Chicago, Sydney, Munich, Fantasia and Vancouver film during the year. Located in the 1980s, the isolated life of Conor Marsh disrupted when he obtained a new art game called obex which claims to digitize the player and put them in the game. But when he begins to play, his dog Sandy disappears, blurring reality and the game. Conor enters the world obex to save Sandy, sailing on his strange kingdoms. A black and white surreal fantastic film. With Albert Birney As Conor, Callie Hernandez,, Paisley Isaacs,, Frank Mosley,, Tyler Davisand more. This small cheesy film has a retro so funky atmosphere, with all the clumsy equipment and the 80s’ 80s song. It is an independent and entertaining independent project that I hope that moviegoers of all kinds are careful when it is in theaters. See below.

In Pré-Internet 1987, Conor (with Albert Birney) and his dog named Sandy Live a life of isolation, lost in the slow graphics of the first Macs and Aglow TV with horror marathons at the end of the evening. But when he starts playing in Obex, a new and mysterious computer game and at the forefront of technology, he finds himself trapped in a similar analog landscape with low technology but with high issues like the line between reality and play. This first was presented at first at the Film Film of Sundance 2025 earlier this year in the next section, with a stop at the Chicago Critics Film Festival in summer.
