Objective of Kerwin Vargas the difference while Strike Charlotte FC excluded the Red Bulls

Kerwin Vargas scored in the 30th minute and the Charlotte FC beat the New York 1-0 Red Bulls on Sunday evening to extend his sequence of victories in MLS with seven games.
Kristijan Kahlina made four stops to keep his fourth leaf of MLS consecutive Charlotte and preserve a victory which moved the crown (15-11-2, 47 points) in fourth place in the classification of the Eastern Conference, above Orlando during the first break of access to total victories.
The victory also achieved a seven -game Charlotte game race against the Red Bulls in MLS Play.
New York (11-11-6, 39 points) surpassed the 14-4 hosts in total and 4-2 in efforts in Target, but has always fallen to its ninth defeat in 14 games this season.
Despite the defeat, the Red Bulls finished the weekend in ninth in the east after starting it in 10th, exceeding Chicago on the difference in goals after the fire lost 4-0 in Philadelphia on Saturday.
New York had the majority of the chances of the first half, but was behind Charlotte alone before the break.
Luck arrived when Idan Toklomati intercepted Mohammed Sofo’s poorly informed pass near the central circle to create a transition opportunity.
Toklomati dribbled towards the penalty arc, then placed the ball in the Vargas race on the right. Vargas took a controlling touch, then propelled a shot of 12 yards which beat Carlos Coronel in its upper corner.
Toklomati had the best chance of Charlotte to double the advantage in the 71st minute after having rounded his defender on the left and created a 2 break against 1. He could potentially have placed the pass through the goal, but rather saw Coronel denying the shot at close range.
The Red Bulls got closer to leveling eight minutes later directly from the Raheem Edwards Inswing corner kick. Kahlina seemed to poorly assess the service but reacted in time to push it on the crossbar.
Visitors had a chance in the second half-time time when Emil Forsberg reached a cross on the edge of the 6 yards box. But he sent an unbalanced head on the bar.
