Nuno Espírito Santo succeeds Graham Potter at West Ham
The 51 -year -old man, after leaving Nottingham Forest due to public repercussions with Evangelos Marinakis, has absolutely no time for going back to work, replacing Potter at West Ham.
The latter recorded the second first percentage of victories of any manager of West Ham in the history of the Premier League, behind only Avram Grant, the irons conceding a calamitous seven of their 13 goals of corners so far this season.

This simply could not continue, and West Ham shareholders had a real concern that relegation looked at them in the face (Claret & Hugh), despite the upper members of the team saying to close friends that Potter was the right man for work (the telegraph).
Exwhuemployee was the first to report earlier this week that Nuno was about to conclude a West Ham agreement, and widespread reports suggested that the former Wolves and Tottenham Boss were a favorite outside competition.
Now these reports have concluded, the tactician ready to take over his first match in Everton at the Hill Dickinson stadium on Monday.
It is interesting to note that President David Sullivan would have been in favor of Slaven Bilic’s return to a short -term contract until the end of the season, some media sources claiming that Nuno demanded large wages to join West Ham and a longer -term agreement.
The driving force behind the move of Nuno Espírito Santo in West Ham
Therefore, it is not surprising that it is not the engine of the move of Nuno in the eastern London.
Indeed, according to Alex Crook de Talksport, vice-president Karren Brady led West Ham’s charge to appoint Nuno, the journalist also revealing a disagreement between the official and Sullivan on the previous contract of Potter.
It seems that Brady has canceled Sullivan for the second time in a year thanks to the arrival of Nuno, but taking into account the obvious skills titles of the coach, his decision could prove to be the right one.
Why Brady was right to put pressure for the appointment of Nuno to West Ham
A succession of other candidates was linked to the position, notably Bilic, Gary O’Neil, Scott Parker, Marco Silva, Sean Dyche, Frank Lampard and Michael Carrick.
However, Nuno is above all the aforementioned names.
After his appointment to the City Ground, the former boss of Al -Ittihad – who won a Saudi title in the Saudi League before leaving a few months later – stopped the ship, solidified the Forest Fund line, improved his fragility of sex and gave his old team an identity as a countertaque Claire.
What followed was a sensational in 2024/2025, where Forest distinguished himself as the major surprise package of last season, and they were rightly rewarded by obtaining a place in European football for the first time in 30 years.
Nuno finally pulled the best party of his players, despite inheriting what was once a disastrous situation. West Ham supporters hope that he will now be able to reproduce this feat in the South, Nuno aimed at finishing 2025 in a situation in very tested circumstances.
