Now that Robbie’s real reason has been revealed, HBO’s criminal drama has become even more exciting

Publisher’s note: The summary below contains spoilers for the episode of the task 3.Three weeks later Brad IngelsbyThe new HBO series StainThe pressure continues only to go up for the investigation team holding the drama of the crime, but they are not the only ones to pursue hot of the waste collector who has become criminal Robbie Prendergrast (Tom Pelphrey), either. Now, the stakes are even higher with the infamous Dark Hearts motorcycle gang at stake, and as a detective Anthony Grasso (Fabien Frankel) warned the rest of the working group last week, this group has its own way of getting answers and getting attached to loose purposes. Their involvement underlines the recent wave of flights with a slightly more personal story for Robbie, however – because we also learned from episode 2, that his brother was a member of The Dark Hearts before his death, and that Maeve (Emilia Jones) Always think that the gang had something to do with it.
The greatest revelation of all, however, came from the FBI agent Tom Brandis (Mark Ruffalo) side of the investigation, when the dark secret hovering like a storm cloud on his family finally broke with the truth behind that of his wife Susan (Mireille Enos) Death. Now we know why his son Ethan (Andrew Russel) was in prison, as well as why Tom refused to cast his eyes on his son since his imprisonment. Death, ironically, seems to be what StainThe main characters share, and the two men choose to face their sorrow in a very different way. The episode of this week, “Nobody’s stronger than forgiveness”, written by Ingelsby and directed by Salli Richardson WhitfieldCramette an even more tangled network around the whole show, making a feeling of an almost inevitable collision class.
Episode 3 of the “ task ” exposes the truth behind Robbie’s motifs
Episode 3 resumes where the previous hour had stopped, while Maeve finally obtains answers to the truth that Robbie was barely able to keep a cover. This is the death of Billy Prendergrast, simple and simple – and not only hold the responsible black hearts, but a particular member of the gang. For Robbie, there is no worst insult that the dark hearts appearing in the commemorative service of Billy, where the president of the local section Jayson (Sam Keeley) hugged Robbie’s hand with the same hand that he used to beat Billy to death. Taking the money of their enemies to the service to give the family a better future is the least of what Robbie wants to do, but Maeve warns his uncle not to become a martyr just to prove a point. He may not even go to prison if the dark hearts first discover the truth. There is also the question of the young Sam (Ben Doherty) To manage, but Robbie insists that he only needs a few more days to successfully close the fentanyl he slipped from the Maison des Nances. Once they will have money by hand and Robbie can make sure that his children will be taken care of, they will make Sam – at least he said. Judging by the way Maeve refuses to meet Robbie’s eyes, it is clear that she does not believe it.
The pure amount of drugs Robbie needs to find a way to sell is not a jokeOr – during the last FBI Task Force group with the head of the Kathleen office McGInty (Martha Plpton), The sergeant-detective Aleah Clinton (Help Mbedu) estimates that the amount of the Fentanyl Robbie crew would have been somewhere in the $ 1.5 million district. No wonder the dark hearts, including Jayson and Perry (Jamie MCSHANE), are already sniffed around potential buyers, including Freddy Frias (Elvis Nolasco), a local worker ankle. Black hearts are suitable for their own agreement with Freddy: if he takes a wind of the one who tries to move so much fentanyl and tip the gang, they cut it on the profit made of the sale.
Meanwhile, as the Brandis working group has already deduced it, Dark hearts have an informant in their own ranks: Eryn (Margarita Leva), Jayson’s wife, who finally meets Robbie and Cliff (Raúl Castillo) to the career in the aftermath of the flight of Nance. Cliff is still too heated about everything that has gone wrong, but Eryn warns Robbie against the displacement of drugs while dark hearts pay special attention. It turns out that these two have worked together from the start, wanting to retaliate in the gang since Jayson killed Billy with a particular motif – because he discovered that Billy and Eryn were sleeping together, although, to hear Eryn say, they were in love. “Do nothing as long as you don’t hear me,” she warns Robbie, before leaving. Neither of them takes into account the warning, because Cliff’s first decision after their appointment is to contact a contact which could be able to help them. Ray Driscoll (Patrick Patrikios) has just come out of prison, however, so his wife Shelley (Mickey Sumner) is not delighted with Robbie and Cliff’s attempts to get him back in less than legal activities. Freddy Frias is absent for obvious reasons, but someone in the league with the Colombians could be interested.
The FBI and Dark Hearts have a tense confrontation in the “ task ” episode ”
This week, Tom and Grasso walk directly in the territory of black hearts After the slugs withdrew from the scene of the skilled flight crime, the others in the file of a previous incident between the gang and their rivals, the vipers. The billiard room is dark, smoked and overflowing with obvious tension, but only Jayson and Perry are ready to speak at the FBI, and even then, they do not say much, especially after Tom underlined the obvious flight in their ranks. The most important detail in all of this is the little boy who is still missing, and Tom is trying to please the best nature of Perry, but the dark hearts are not interested in cooperating, and even less to team up with the federals. Once Tom and Grasso leave, Jayson and Perry realize that they have a different mystery to solve: whose member of the member could have been used in the two crimes?
Meanwhile, Aleah and the soldier of the state of Pennsylvania Lizzie Stover (Alison Oliver) are occupied by the continuation of the potential tracks on the case. This week takes them to the work of peaches (Owen Teague) Work before his death, and although most men, there are still chauvines barely written, they end up with at least one employee who is ready to speak of the unhappy member of the Robbie crew in exchange for the reward money of $ 25,000. Their dinner conversation leads to a single name that deserves to be prosecuted: Cliff Broward, with which Peaches had boasted of stealing drug houses. Tom wants to hit Cliff’s house later in the evening on the helmet that Sam is held there, but he does not want to wait for the backup either, and this choice turns out to be expensive. When the working group finds the front door of Cliff already open, they enter, but Lizzie is already worried about who could meet. In the disorder and the confusion of the intruders who try to flee, Tom ends up dropping the stairs while Lizzie looks helpless Before Leah and Grasso apprehend the two suspects: the Dricols. Naturally, Cliff just avoids being seen while he and Robbie pass in front of the house, surrounded by police lights, a few moments later.
As Tom gave the news that he has won a concussion, the Driscols are divided for interrogation, where Tom and Grasso try to obtain answers from Ray, who swears from top to bottom that he and his wife reversed anything. However, Aleah is able to switch to Shelley out of pure honesty over her own past with domestic violence and the abuses she suffered. It is an amazing and heartbreaking monologue of Mbedu which is doubled from an out -of -competition moment for her Stain character. “Lord knows that I have opened this door to escape a million times,” admits Aleah, “and the reason why I did not leave earlier was because when I opened this door and looked outside, everything I saw was dark.” Just like that, Shelley begins to speak. The plan had been for them to steal the fentanyl and sell it themselves, but what they did not know, and what we do is the place where these drugs are kept. Although Ray cannot identify Robbie by name, he is ready to cooperate by letting Grasso send an SMS to Cliff from his phoneOrganizing a meeting for tomorrow evening, where the FBI will wait for them. But the more their investigation progresses, the more it seems that the dark hearts have their own initiated – someone inside the task itself.
After Aleah gave Tom a return to the house, he is subject to his own question of his daughter Sara (Phoebe Fox) About what happened, but it is here that he admits a much harder truth: he does not want Ethan to come home, because he still cannot forgive his son for what he did. It is an admission that Emily (Silvia Dionicio) manages to hear after going home after visiting his brother in prison, but it also talks about one of the StainThe deepest themes: When forgiveness is the best way to take revengeAnd what will happen to Robbie and Tom now that they have apparently rejected the first?
