Forest eye attacking the midfielder despite the new Gibbs-White agreement
Perhaps the most important activities of Forest in the transfer window to date have been to obtain the future of Morgan Gibbs-White at City Ground, although Simon Jordan de Talksport was a little perplexed by the behavior of Evangelos Marinakis in the subsequent interview.
Jordan said: “The fact that he was standing there and intimidated the player’s hell, I actually think of the story.
“Marinakis is a strong character, like him or hates him. Some of the things I think I am quite impressed by him, others who do not imprint me. He means what he says, and he is a strong character.”
Marinakis was clearly determined to maintain Gibbs-White, but with delicate trees ready to embark on a campaign in the Europa League next season, Nuno may need a deeper team, and another attacking midfielder is interesting.
In an X update, BBC journalist James Lewer revealed that Nottingham Forest discussed the improvement of an offer for Manchester City James McATEE, having submitted an offer of around 25 million pounds sterling for the attacker, who was overthrown by their Premier League competitors.
However, Man City can still be open to a sale this summer, if the forest was willing to increase their offer, with costs of 35 million pounds sterling in the middle of links to Tottenham Hotspur, while West Ham United and Everton were also appointed potential contenders.
