Not jasprit bumrah !! Ravi Shastri calls the number 1 Indian launcher in Peak currently

The former team of Team India, Ravi Shastri, supported the inclusion of Kuldeep Yadav in game XI for the 2025 Asian Cup, which is expected to start on Tuesday, September 9. Shastri stressed that the wrist is currently at its peak, citing its impressive performances in the Indian Premier (IPL).

India will start its Asia Cup 2025 campaign in a group A confrontation against the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, September 10. Ravi Shastri said Kuldeep Yadav will be a key player from Team India in the 2025 Asian Cup. Shastri has said that the wrist is currently performing at its peak. He added that Kuldeep, alongside Varun Chakaravarthy and Axar Patel, will play a crucial role in the Bowling attack in India.

“If you have two wrist launchers of this quality, I would like to have them on my side. I think Kuldeep is at its peak now. He did very well in IPL and, unfortunately, could not go to the team in the tests in England because of the conditions and the force that India has.

Kuldeep played an international T20 for the last time in the 2024 T20 World Cup final against South Africa. He participated in the series of Tests from India against New Zealand, but an injury left him for several months. Yadav returned to T20 format for IPL 2025.

The former versatile also said that Shubman Gill was able to play all kinds of blows. Shastri noted that slower locations in Dubai could require a certain adjustment, and Gill should remain a key player for India through the next decade formats.

India has continued its domination since the 2024 World Cup. They have won 13 of their last 15 games. The men in blue won series victories against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, South Africa and England, maintaining an undefeated sequence from the tournament.
