“Not good enough” – The NBA analyst gives Kawhi Leonard and James Harden Harsh Reality Check

The La Clippers took the Denver Nuggets the distance in the first round, but they fell flat in the rocky mountains of Colorado.
The match was close in the first half before Nikola Jokic and the company taking off, leading to 36 points.
In particular, James Harden scored only 7 points out of 2 out of 8 shots in a defeat of 120-101 in an elimination match, again throwing doubts about his “clutch gene” and his ability to do the work when it matters most.

Kawhi Leonard collected 22 points on 6 shots out of 13, but despite the effective release, he has still not been able to dominate at both ends of the ground as he did in the past.
This is why the NBA analyst, Jason Timpf, thinks it could be time for the Clippers to start considering their options on the future because, as good player as Leonard and Harden, they are no longer at the top of their game:
“Kawhi Leonard is able to reach his peak for a match, but he has not been supported in this series, and it’s the healthiest in years,” said Timpf (10:50 am). “So it’s time to recognize that Harden and Kawhi are no longer good to bring you where you want to go, which means that it is at least to start looking to the future if you are the mowers.”
Of course, the Nuggets also deserve a lot of credit for what they made in this series, and Russell Westbrook experienced a strong outing with 16 points and five interceptions of the bench, but this game exhibited the biggest concerns of the Clippers for the future.
Where do the mowers go from now?
The clippers threw a solid base. The owner of the team, Steve Ballmer, is not afraid to break the bank or take risks to ensure that this team remains competitive in the long term, especially after opening its new peak arena in Inglewood.
Lawrence Frank has also proven to be an informed framework with a great basketball spirit, and coach Tyronn Lue is a product experienced in this league.
Again, this team will have to consider their options and measure the league to find another star to build their list.
Harden and Leonard are two renowned first galleurs, but given Harden’s perennial difficulties in the playoffs and Leonard’s injury problems, they might no longer be adapted to be their essential guys.
There will be potentially big names to be won in the offseason, notably Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, Ja Morant and perhaps even Nikola Jokic, and it will be interesting to see what the Clippers are doing.
