Northwestern State 20-10 Alcorn State (August 28, 2025) Recapt of play

Natchitoches, La – – Ty Moore picked up a loose ball after an attempted booty booty and Northwestern State won his first victory since November 5, 2022, with a 20-10 victory against Alcorn State on Thursday evening.
The demons brought a sequence of 20 consecutive defeats, the longest active race in the FCS, in the opening of the season.
The braves drew from their 44 yards line when the Snap sailed above the head of the Demetrion Duvall bettor. Moore took over the ball on the 8 yards line to enter the goal area for an advance from 13-0 to the first quarter.
Abram Johnston finished night 9 of 18 for 85 yards with a touch and interception and added 69 yards on the ground for Northwestern State.
Johnston hit Ty Moore for a touch of 6 yards to open the scoring.
The Braves scored a 72 yards pick-six by Orlandus McLaurin at the end of the third quarter, then obtained a 51 yards basket by Grandin Willcox less than two minutes later to close in 13-10.
Northwestern State responded with a game of 12 games at 68 yards, taking more than six minutes, Ryan Tyler marking the 1.
Jaylon Tolbert launched two out of 19 interceptions of the 44 passing with 182 yards while the Braves failed to bring together any offense all night.
The game was briefly delayed by lightning.
