North Korea launches more than a dozen rockets, says South Korea

Seoul and London — North Korea launched Thursday morning “more than a dozen,” said the South Korean Defense Ministry.

The Rockets were launched around 10 am, local time in the Sun’an region of the capital of North Korea, Pyongyang, said the ministry, adding that “the details are analyzed by the Korean and American intelligence authorities”.

“Our soldiers maintain the capacity and the posture to respond massively to any provocation while paying attention to various trends in North Korea under a strong joint defense posture between Korea and the United States so that North Korea is not poorly evaluated in the current security situation,” the ministry said in a press release.

The South Korean news agency Yonhap reported that the rockets had been fired in the Yellow Sea, which is known in the south under the name of the West Sea.
