No place for Nitish Reddy, Dhruv Jurel or Kuldeep Yadav in India Ravi Shastri playing XI for the first test

The 1st India VS England test will start in just two days. We still don’t know how the field in Headingley will play. It was an unusually dry summer in England and much expect the strikers to appreciate their time in the middle and the spinners can enter the game more.

However, the former head coach of India, delighted Shastri, still believes that Shubman Gill and Co. should play four quick questers and a spinner. This means that Nitish Reddy will not be in Shastri’s favorite India for the first test. He decided to play Sai Sudharsan at number three and Karun Nair at five. This means that Dhruv Jurel who was impressed against the Lions of England cannot play.

His reasoning for bowlingal selections is that he thinks that it will be cloudy and covered in Headingley. This is why it is better to choose Shardul Thakur on Reddy. He thinks that the third fast launcher should be Prasidh Krishna or Arshdeep Singh.

“I would go with three fast quisors, (more) Shardul Thakur. I know it will be difficult between Shardul and Nitish Reddy, but you should see who Basse how much. If Reddy will give you 12 or 14 Overs, then he could get the head sign because of his striker, ” Shastri told ICC Review.

Team India landed in Leeds for the first test game of the tour against England. The Headingley test will start on June 20 and after playing an intra-squad game against A side A, Team India reached Leeds. To prepare for the first match, India will organize two training sessions. The first is the morning of June 18 and the second of the afternoon on June 19.
