No Liverpool offer for Alexander Isak again, says Newcastle Boss Eddie Howe

Eddie Howe says that Newcastle has not yet received an official offer for striker Wantaway Alexander Isak and insists that the player of the player remains in the hands of the club “to one degree”.

Howe spoke of Seoul where the Magpies face a K.League XI tomorrow in the last match of their pre-season tour in the Far East.

Isak is not in South Korea after reporting a minor injury to the thigh, but clearly told club leaders that he wanted to explore a distance from St James’ Park.

We want to keep Isak – Howe

Liverpool is the advantages of the 25 -year -old Swedish international race, but Howe insists that Newcastle wants to keep a player who is still three years old to run on his contract.

He told Mail Sport: “He’s still our player. He contracted us. We, to a certain extent, control what is then for him. I would like to believe that all the possibilities are always at our disposal. My wish is that it remains, but it is not under my will.

“We have not received an official offer for Alex, from any club. My wish is that he stays and we see him playing again next year. ”

Howe also said that he had not spoken to any of the club’s Saudi property groups in recent days concerning the future of Isak.

“No, I didn’t do it,” he said. “Mainly for the fact that I am traveling and today we have worked on this afternoon training. With these trips, they are still as intense. Of course, I am in contact with the people with whom I must be in contact with me, but it is a very minimal contact when you are absent.”

Newcastle will not make any panic movement – Howe

It was a frustrating window for Newcastle with several of the best targets of the club who choose to move elsewhere. They missed Joao Pedro, Bryan Mbeumo and James Trafford while a move for Yoane Wissa blocked due to Brentford’s reluctance for sale.

An attacker remains a priority, even if Isak remains, but Howe insists that the club will not be panicked to make a reckless movement.

He said, “This is an important moment for us. There is a lot to take. We have to bring the right type of player. In any case, we should not act in character and must work as we always have in the window. It is strategically.

“If the good player is not available for the right price, then we cannot make the offers. Everything must queue. We are looking to add depth and quality to the areas we have identified. The crossed fingers, we can make offers.”

The half-center of injuries, Sven Botman, underwent a groin problem during the 3-2 defeat against Arsenal in Singapore on Sunday and will not play tomorrow.
