No IPL or PSL teams in the T20 renowned Champions League supported by ICC

Like the old franchise, the winners of the respective franchise leagues will compete for the title Ultimate T20.
Earlier this month, it appeared that the T20 Champions League (CLT20) will be relaunched under a new name, the World Clubs Championship (Coe). The tournament, which saw teams from different franchise leagues would compete for each other, was put back in 2015 due to low notes.
However, with the construction of steam concerning the Saudis trying to compete with the cricket planks via a 6 team event to be called the Saudi super slam, the CLT20 is being stimulated. And it is supported by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
PCB, PSL not interested?
At the World Cricket Relitis 2025 last month, the plan was discussed. The CEOs of the franchise leagues were invited and the president of the ICC, Jay Shah, was also there. However, nobody from Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) or Pakistan Super League (PSL) arose.
“Pakistan Cricket Board was invited to send its CEO of the PSL for a meeting held on the sidelines of the Cricket Connect meeting in London last month, but no one has arisen. The PCB did not arise and strangely, President Mohin Naqvi also did not assist regularly to ICC meetings “,” Sources told PTI.
No IPL team in the COE despite the support of the BCCI
This eliminates a major market. And the largest market, India, will not be there either. No team from the Indian Premier League (IPL) will play in the CEO despite the support of the Cricket Control Council in India. From what is understood, only 5 teams will play from 5 different leagues. And IPL or PSL will not be one of the teams.
“Discussions have taken place on the world club championship offered, its window, its format, its calendar, etc. (The) CEO of the Emirates League, Big Bash League, The Hunged, SA20, MLC, Caribbean Premier League, etc., attended the meeting. the source added.
