Nita Ambani calls India “timeless civilization” to Waves 2025 says that “our Amar Chitra Katha can be the next Harry Potters”

The founder and president of Reliance Foundation, Nita Ambani, delivered an inspiring speech on “Take Indian Culture to the World” on the second day of the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (Waves) 2025. At the Jio World Convention Center (JWCC), Mumbai, Nita Ambani spoke of the potential of Indian culture and its impact on the world. She stressed how the stories of “powerful” Indian legends are that can shape “who we become”.

“Let our Amar Chitra Kathas be the next Harry Potters. Leave our epics – Ramayana and Mahabharata – light the silver screens in the world. Let our stories inspire generations to come … because culture is not only a reflection of who we are. It is, in fact, a powerful tool to shape that we are becoming”, she told the summit 2025.

Waves is a summit that combines creativity and technology with the integration of digital media, games, films, OTT, AI, diffusion and even more to make it a platform that presents the potential of India in the media and entertainment. It aims to become a market of 50 billion USD by 2029 to make a brand in the economy of world entertainment.

While praising the rich culture of India, Nita Ambani described it as “timeless civilization” which gifted humanity and the world of the ideals of truth, non-violence, unity and peace. “We are a timeless civilization that doubted humanity of the lasting ideals of truth, non-violence, unity and peace. A luminous nation that gave the world the wisdom of Vedas, Bhagavad Gita and the teachings of Gautam Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi. Bharat is where it all started. ”

Nita Ambani also underlined the powerful combination of “sacred traditions” and “modern dynamism” in India. “We are a country enriched by the wisdom of its civilization, but also energized by the throbbing energy of the youngest population in the world. A country where sacred traditions encounter modern dynamism in perfect harmony, where the growing power of our economy, soon the third largest in the world, meets our soft power and rowed up. ”
