About the Ted Lindsay Prize:
The Ted Lindsay Prize is unique because the only NHL price voted by the players themselves, continuing the tradition established in 1970-71 with the Lester B. Pearson Prize. NHLPA members vote on the player they deem most of the NHL regular season each year. The prize was reintroduced in 2009-2010 as the Homonym of the late Ted Lindsay to honor its legacy as an attacker of the temple of renowned hockey known for skills, tenacity and leadership, as well as its role in the establishment of the association of original players.
