Nike Book 2 Trailer; release date set

Devin Booker’s second iteration of his Book sneaker, the Nike Book 2, will launch to the public on Friday.
Nike announced the exact date with a trailer released on Monday.
“At the end of the day, everyone needs a professional. Whether he’s your first option or your last chance, they always call his number,” a narrator explains as Booker answers a phone call for a secret agent-like job.
Ultimately, everyone needs a professional.

The Phoenix Suns guard goes to the basement to get ready and make preparations for work. A computer and technology appropriate for the early 1990s (Booker was born in 1991) are laid out on the table and he opens a briefcase revealing his Book 2 shoes.
“That’s why he keeps a low profile, locks her in isolation,” explains the narrator. “When he catches them slipping – and he always catches them slipping – stop. Bang. It’s game time.”
Nike revealed the look for the second chapter of Booker’s shoe design in November.
It retains some of the elements of Book 1 that were portable both on the street and in the field. The Book 2s advance Booker’s desires on the field with a lower profile.
“For Book 1, we took inspiration from classic cars, where the engine is supercharged and tuned but the exterior looks classic,” said Ben Nethongkome, the lead designer of Booker’s signature shoes. “This approach carried over into Book 2, obscuring the innovation beneath.
“We lowered the profile of the shoe to improve on-court feel, and because we removed materials to get lower to the ground, we were able to move the Air Zoom unit from the heel to the forefoot, achieving the feel and performance Devin wanted with a lighter weight.”
