Newcastle Target Yoane Wissa wants to join Tottenham instead

Newcastle United seeks to improve their attack unit with the signing of Yoane Wissa, but the player would prefer to join Tottenham Hotspur.

According to a Talksport report, Brentford does not want to let the 28 -year -old leave the club this summer. It will be interesting to see if Newcastle or Tottenham can convince them to sell the attacker.

Newcastle could use Wissa

The striker was impressive enough for Brentford last season, and he scored 20 goals in all competitions. Wissa could greatly improve Newcastle. They depended too much on Alexander Isak last season. However, they obtained a qualification in the Champions League for the next season, and they need more depth in the team. They cannot count on an attacker to transport them throughout the season.

Wissa has the quality to play for a larger club, and he will try to prove himself in the Champions League if the transfer passes.

It will be interesting to see which of the two clubs manages to convince Brentford to sell the player. They will not want to lose several key players in a single window. Bryan Mbeumo is already heading for Manchester United, and Brentford will want to keep Wissa at the club.

The player may have to force an outing for a movement to cross. He is at this stage of his career where it could be his last opportunity to join a big club. He remains to be seen what he decides.
