The commentator Candace Owens said in a recent interview that the accusers of Harvey Weinstein were lying and that they turned against the producer in disgrace after having consensual sex with him because he did not give them roles of plum films in return. Owens comment during a conversation with Tucker Carlson on Friday.
“They supposed that he was going to give them these roles, and he did not do it,” said Owens. “These girls threw themselves on him, thinking that there was going to be an exchange, and there was simply none.”
She continued: “And then if you look at your life, and now that you are 50 years old, and you have slept with Harvey Weinstein – not the hottest and most apparent person – are you like” what did I get for that? “”
Owens said that she believed that allegations against Weinstein – who was recently found guilty of a chief of sexual assault in New York and who is also on the 16 -year condemnation in California resulting from several convictions on sexual abuse – at the beginning.
But after reading the emails, his accusers sent him, and after seeing that he had not targeted young women who did not know better, Owens said that she had started to believe that Weinstein had been wrongly sentenced. In addition to that, Owens said that the accusers of Weinstein had seen signs in dollars in the middle of the #MeToo movement, thinking that Weinstein made a main target.
“I have never seen a crazier conviction in my whole life,” said Owens. “He was literally condemned because people were crying, even in the face of overwhelming evidence [that supported Weinstein]. “”
She added: “The cases are incredible. You have been raped by him in 10 years? Help me understand this.”
Owens’ comments come after interviewing Weinstein, by prison phone, earlier this week; Owens also faces a trial of French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, after saying that she was born.
