Steele said: “There was a lot of reports that he (Tsimikas) could go this summer and it seems very likely. I would say that we are probably more around 80 to 85% than Tsimikas will go this summer.

“It was not perfect at any section of imagination, but there is a bit of a cult figure. He is also loved in the team. So, it will be a shame to see him go, but it looks like at the right time if Liverpool signs Kerkez.”

It was a good start for the summer for LFC, which officially announced the signature of Jeremie Frimpong de Bayer Leverkusen.

The Dutch right rear resembles an ideal replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who joins Real Madrid earlier than expected to play in the club World Cup.

Meanwhile, Liverpool is also working on the ambitious signature of Florian Wirtz, according to The Athletic, and Kerkez could be an ideal upgrade on Andrew Robertson and Tsimikas on the left back.

Bournemouth will surely be confronted with the interest in a number of their players star this summer, Dean Huijsen already leaving, while others like Antoine Semenyo could be worth keeping an eye.
