Newcastle United is in pole position to end the signature of an “excellent” player alongside Yoane Wissa this summer, after a new development.
Newcastle always pushes for the signing of Wissa
With St James Park of Alexander Isak still in the air currently, the Magpies are looking for new attackers hard, especially after the release of Callum Wilson.
Brentford Ace Wissa has become a leading option for Newcastle, after revealing himself in the Premier League, and like Isak, he refused to play for his current club, trying to obtain an agreement on the line.
Reliable journalist Craig Hope said the Magpies remain “focused” on the conclusion of an agreement for the sniper, the London West demanding up to 50 million pounds sterling for his signature.
It is important that Newcastle looks at other options far from Wissa, however, if the transfer does not materialize, and a positive update has appeared in this regard.
Newcastle in pole position to sign another striker
According to Transfer market [via Sport Witness]Newcastle is the “frontrunners” to sign the Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson this summer.
It is despite AC Milan which establishes a new contact with the Senegalese, but a move from loan to Magpies is among the possible options, it all ultimately depends on what is happening with Isak this month.
Jackson has been the key to the target reported alongside Wissa for some time now, and it is easy to see why Eddie Howe could like the idea of leaving her line on his side.
The 24 -year -old has had his detractors, namely a lack of ruthlessability in the last third, but he is an effective attacker who combines strength and altruism, hailed by Tim Sherwood.
“I think there are certainly parts of his game that he needs to improve. But, I think he is an excellent movement behind, it has this pace, it’s all about timing of his races and he stretches the defenses. With Chelsea players – like Cole Palmer – he is very good because they get on the ball, he makes the movement and they find it.”
The £ 100,000 jackson per week still has time to improve and has four years less than Wissa, so if Isak ends up moving to Liverpool, it could be the strongest option to come. The signature would be perfect, however, in order to compensate for the possible loss of the sweat.
