New Year’s Eve Fireworks in Hawaii

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Several locations across the state will welcome the new year with professional fireworks displays.
OAHU
- Waikiki hosts its New Year’s Eve celebration at midnight on the beach.
- Sky Waikiki’s New Year’s Eve Countdown Party starts at 8 p.m.
- Wai Kai is hosting a party from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
- Ko Olina Resort has a fireworks display at midnight.
In Waikiki, people began gathering near the Hilton Hawaiian Village to watch the fireworks.
They said they arrived early to avoid traffic, have good parking and a place to ring in the new year.
“I’m just going to stay with my family and watch the fireworks here in Waikiki,” Antonio Mattone said.
MAUI
- Grand Wailea has a fireworks display at midnight.
- The Four Seasons Resort Lanai will host a fireworks display at midnight.
ISLAND OF HAWAII
- Hilton Waikoloa Village Fireworks Show Starts at 9 p.m.
KAUAI
Officials will not have any fireworks displays.
Kauai Police continue to encourage the public to enjoy permitted displays and leave fireworks displays to trained professionals.
