New Transformers & GI Joe Crossover Show Addresses Michael Bay’s Concerns

Michael Bay previously had good reason to be concerned about the potential THEM And Transformers crossover on the big screen, but the next show in the franchise seems to have solved the problem.
Michael Bay’s films in the Transformers the franchise may not have gained much traction. However, the director still deserves credit for breathing new life into the franchise with hit versions of the toy line and original cartoons. For this reason, even his opinions on the franchise’s future creative directions are worth considering.
Interestingly, Bay also had some issues with the potential THEM And Transformers crossing set up by Transformers: Rise of the Beasts END. From the looks of it, though, the franchise’s next series has already addressed Bay’s concerns in more ways than one.
Upcoming Transformers and GI Joe Show Solves Michael Bay Franchise Problem
As reports confirm (via GeekTyran), Michael Bay was initially apprehensive about the approval of THEM And Transformers crossing of its end. He was hesitant about the next step for the franchise as he thought it would be “lower the price” frankness. Looking back, his concerns made a lot of sense.
Most Transformers The films, thus far, have been incredibly overpopulated with titular Transformers characters from the Decepticon and Autobot teams. For this reason, human characters have always been considered an afterthought. Adding GI Joes to the mix could potentially further dilute the franchise’s storytelling and undermine everything that’s happened thus far.
Fortunately, the THEM And Transformers the crossover isn’t happening on the big screen yet. For now, Hasbro is working on a crossover animated series, which will have its own standalone story and have nothing to do with the parent film series. Due to its television format, the upcoming series will have much more time to develop the characters of both toy brands.
At the same time, not being attached to live-action films also allows it to build its own identity without ruining or diminishing the impact of the stories already told.
Upcoming series will prepare viewers for potential live-action crossover
For a long time, rumors surrounding a potential live-action collaboration between Transformers And THEM suggested that the flywheels of its production were moving forward. Some reports even revealed that Chris Hemsworth was being considered for a role in the film. However, it now seems likely that the live-action crossover has been severely delayed or even canceled.
If it still sees the light of day, however, the upcoming show could be the perfect testing ground to see what could potentially work in a story featuring two huge toy franchises. THE Transformers the franchise is gradually moving away from the way Michael Bay I had considered it, but only time will tell if it will be a good thing.
