New Tottenham manager Thomas Frank revealed his coach staff and spoke of his first “fun” training session on the Hotspur club training field after taking over from the Angel Postcoglou predecessor.
Frank, who left Brentford after almost nine years as a coach and manager with the bees to succeed PostCoglou in June, now worked with Captain Son Heung-Min for the first time, performing a series of demanding tests under the supervision of his coaches.
Technical director Johan Lange says that he has a “very, very good feeling” after having helped to assemble the team from the back room, including a coach who was only appointed by the manager of England Thomas Tuchel five months ago and a former assistant from Ruben Amorim in Manchester United, who beat the final of the Europa League less than two months ago.

Tottenham: Who are Thomas Frank coaches?
“Thomas wanted to bring in some coaches with whom he worked before,” the Tottenham website told Dane Lange about Frank’s staff, adding that he was “very excited” by the meetings.
“But for all the other roles, we had a very, very good process where we interviewed several candidates for each.”
Frank said he hoped to make the coaches’ team “a very well managed engine” which “simply delivers”.
“I know half of the group of coaches; the other half, I don’t know, so we have to work on this relationship,” he recognized.
“The way they will divide the roles is really good and covering all the capacities we would like to have.”

Justin Cochrane
The former antigua and Barbuda International Cochrane was a coach of England at the level of young people and was “the final appointment to a confidence support team” by the new boss of the three Tuchel Lions in February.
Cochrane combined the role with his work as a coach under Frank in Brentford and has now moved with its club director to the Spurs.
“He will be in charge of the offensive part of the game and the training planning, obtaining this fluid and on the move,” said Frank.

Andreas Georgson
One of the many coach meetings taken by the unhappy manager of Manchester United, Erik Ten Hag last summer Georgsen stayed when Ruben Amorim succeeded Dutch in November but left the club at the end of the season.
The Swedish jobs in the past five years have included the head of the sets and individual developments at Brentford, coach for Mikel Arteta in Arsenal, deputy director of Malmo, set for the former director of Southampton, Russell Martin, and the management Hotetaat in Lillesrom.
“He will be assistant coach but his main objective will be on the parts and the restarts [of play]”Said Frank, whose Brentford team has acquired the reputation of threatening the start last season.
Chris Haslam
The performance manager Haslam has played a similar role for more than a decade in Brentford and worked with the Senior Denmark team.
“Players love the game and the competition,” said Haslam to Training Ground Guru. “It’s the best way to win, in terms of mental recovery.”
Frank described Haslam’s responsibilities as “the physical part of football training and all this, but also the link to everything”.
Fabian Otte
The goalkeeper coach Otte joined Liverpool when Arne Slot succeeded Jurgen Klopp before the 2024/25 season, helping the club win the Premier League and share photos of himself during their bus parade around the city to celebrate.
“We are really excited that he arrives,” said Frank. “He has great experience in terms of work with some of the best goalkeepers in the world, and I hope he can advance goalkeepers.”
Otte has already worked with teams such as the United States, Burnley and Borussia Monchengladbach and Hoffenheim in Germany.
Cameron Campbell
Frank de Frank’s individual development coach has been working with the RB Leipzig Academy for 18 months and has been a youth coach from the Rangers, as well as spells in Denmark and Ghana.
“It is an individual coach who is great about how we develop the players,” said Frank about the 33 -year -old man. “It was a great wish of Johan and I, something we talked about and we thought was crucial.
“Few clubs have nailed this. We have tried in the past and, hope it, we can get it to the next level.”
Matt Wells
The former midfielder for young Spurs, Wells, followed Scott Parker from the implementation of young people from the club with senior roles in Fulham, Bournemouth and Club Brugge before joining Postcoglou staff when the Australian was appointed in 2023.
“I am proud and privileged, as a boy from Tottenham, to be in this position,” said Wells before the Spurs beat United 1-0 in the final in Bilbao in May.
The 36 -year -old man will be “responsible for the defensive part of the game and will also contribute to training,” explains Frank.
Joe Newton
The former apprentice Tremere Rovers Newton helped Brentford to Brentford to win the promotion in the Premier League in 2021 in his first position after having graduated in sport science.
“He will be like an analyst of the coaches – a bridge between the analysis team and the coach staff, we therefore make sure that everything is aligned in terms of training, games, debriefs before and post -match and how we are preparing for opponents,” said Frank.
“Our principles in the way we play are the most important thing, but with the turn of the way we modify it for each opponent.”

Tottenham had a lamentable national season in 2024/25, losing 22 and winning 11 of his 38 games, including a return from their last seven games.
Frank, whose Brentford team finished 10th, held training for the first time on the second weekend in July, with the start of his friendly calendar on third level reading on the horizon.

When does Tottenham Premier League 2025/26 start?
