New release date ARAM: 3 MAP rotation, new select champion

Good news to all those who play Aram and again better news for those who play only ARAM because a new ARAM experience is there!

Many battles have been led by Aram’s only card, Howling Abyss, for years – but it’s time to change things.

“Our main objective was to explore what a healthy change in Aram should look like. In the past, we have tended to be slightly too aggressive in the change in the experience of ARAM (like the Bridge of Progress), that the players gave us comments,” said Eduardo Cortejoso, the product of the product in Riot Games, said.

There are three Aram cards in rotation, namely:

  • Abyss howling
  • Butcher
  • Koeshin crossing

These changes are intended to be permanent, said Eduardo, but the team is open to change according to the comments they receive. They hope that “the changes to the ARAM experience we make are considered to be

“ARAM traders have also updated their stocks with an old inheritance article, the spectral cutlass. It will be seen on the three cards and should be interesting for assassins and champions focused on mobility,” he told Media during the Spirit Blossom Summit at Riot Games HQ.

The Butcher bridge has been relaunched. Instead of portals, players jump into cannons that propel them to a place chosen on the map similar to Urf. You can only get started until the last tower that is always the furthest of the card.

The biggest change is at the center of the map where you will find an alcove which extends the bridge a little beyond its linearity. The player who eliminates the flower in a few strokes wins a temporary shield and a small refund in the recharge times.

Koeshin crossing

Koeshin’s Crossing is a whole new card that game developers have created to link to the season of Blossom spirits.

The flowering portals replace the HEXTECH doors. There are also two new ones in the center of the map where you will notice a little more.

These do not require pipe time. Instead, you walk there directly and they will teleport to you on the opposite side almost immediately, which opens up attack options for melee and assassins champions. In addition, getting closer to them grants a very small increase in travel speed.

The third key mechanic of Koeshin’s Crossing is that instead of obtaining a gray screen after the death of your champion, you will rather see a “spiritual version” of the bridge which gives you a “thematic overview in life after death when you wait to reappear”.

During the Round Table of the Spirit Blossom Summit media, Eduardo shared that there were in fact a lot of Easter eggs to discover on the cards.

Players should pay attention to traders, who have new vocal lines that refer to the history of Runetrera in progress, calls such as the Kinku sanctuary, as well as the kingdom of minds that replace the gray screen.

“We really want to do a better job and continue to improve our story through environmental narration. It is therefore our way of saying without words and representing it in the environment,” he said.

How does the new ARAM champion work

Champion Select in the new ARAM works a little differently. Instead of relaunching (and teammates who are unleashed), you can now choose two to three champions at a time.

Most of the time, it’s one in two. The third option only appears from time to time if you are lucky.

The champions that players do not choose go directly to the bench that any teammate can enter. This, hopefully, reduces the anger generated by the recovery system where players who do not relay flock or the torch by their teammates.
