New Golden Globes Special Honors Helen Mirren and Sarah Jessica Parker

The Golden Globes have announced a new primetime special dedicated to this year’s honorary winners, Helen Mirren and Sarah Jessica Parker. Airing January 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and streaming on Paramount+, “Golden Eve: The Golden Globes Honor Helen Mirren & Sarah Jessica Parker” will feature a lineup of presenters and star-studded appearances.
Harrison Ford will present Mirren with her Cecil B. DeMille Award, and Viola Davis, last year’s winner, will make an appearance. Parker will receive the Carol Burnett Award, as previously announced, and will be joined by last year’s winner, Ted Danson. Colman Domingo, Sex and the city co-star Kristin Davis, Vin Diesel and Burnett will also be in attendance.
First established in 1952 and honoring the eponymous director, the Cecil B. DeMille Award has been presented to 69 winners, including Barbra Streisand, Jack Warner, Oprah Winfrey, Robert Redford, Sidney Poitier and Walt Disney.
Established in 2019 and originally awarded to its namesake, the Carol Burnett Award is given to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to television, on and off screen. Past recipients include Ellen DeGeneres, Norman Lear and Ryan Murphy.
The 83rd Golden Globes, led by Nikki Glaser, airs Sunday, January 11 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and streams on Paramount+. Celebrating the best in film, television and now podcasting, White Cherry Entertainment’s multi-Emmy Award-winning producing duo Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner will return as executive producing showrunners. Dick Clark Productions will plan, host and produce the Globes.
