New generation Dravid: Samit Dravid to appear in the tournament alongside Ajinkya Rahane, Prasidh Krishna | Cricket news

The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) will launch its new season with the DR (CAPT) K Thimmappiah commemorative tournament from Thursday, featuring some of the main names of the state. The stimulator of India Prasidh Krishna draws the show from the programming when it comes back to the domestic action after a hectic tour in England, where it claimed 14 counters through three tests. With a home series against the Antilles approaching, the four -day format competition offers the precious preparation of 29 -year -old red balls. Batter R Smaran, the top scorer in Karnataka in the Ranji trophy last season with 516 points at an average of 64.50, will lead the Ksca XI. Smaran narrowly missed a DULEEP trophy berth this year, but will try to start very much against formidable opponents such as Mumbai, Madhya Pradesh and Baroda. Its side also includes regulars of IPL Shreyas Gopal, Vidwath Kaverapppa and KL Shrijth. Mumbai, on the other hand, is reinforced by the presence of the striker of India Ajinkya Rahane, adding a more in -depth depth to the tournament.

The event will also see Samit Dravid, son of Rahul Dravid, in action for the XI of the secretary of the KSCA under Captain Nikin Jose.
