New EMI/Simon Cowell boyband shares NSYNC cover on December 10 and social media surges after Netflix debut | Talent

Last week, Netflix launched the global series Simon Cowell: The Next Act – an all-new series that captures the X-Factor/American Idol star’s efforts to form the world’s next big boy band from thousands of hopefuls.
Well, the band – christened on December 10 and newly signed to EMI/Universal – have taken another big step forward with the release of a live acoustic performance of NSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye, recorded at London’s Metropolis Studios. This is the group’s first complete performance footage. You can watch it below.
The December 10 event – comprised of members Cruz (19), Danny (17), Hendrick (19), John (17), Josh (17), Nicolas (16) and Sean (19) – was put together with the help of a host of elite music industry talent.
Among those captured on the show helping Cowell are Robert “Raab” Stevenson (Justin Timberlake, Rihanna); Kamille (Little Mix, Dua Lipa, Raye), Poo Bear (Justin Bieber, Usher, Ed Sheeran), Rami Yacoub (Britney Spears, One Direction), Julian Bunetta (One Direction, Teddy Swims, Sabrina Carpenter) and Savan Kotecha (Ariana Grande, The Weeknd).
I don’t know if this group found me or if it was the other way around, but either way, I’m so happy the boys are getting the chance to do what they love.

Since its launch, the group’s official TikTok has quadrupled to 211,000 followers, while its Instagram has also jumped to 77,000 followers.
Of their launch, Cowell said: “I don’t know if this group found me or if it was the other way around, but either way, I’m so happy that the boys are getting the chance to do what they love. Seven genuine, talented, humble boys who came to meet me. I believe in them and I truly love them. I wish them all true happiness doing something they love.”
Following the band’s reveal on Netflix, all eyes will now be on what the band does from here on out. Notably, the group was not only formed with the help of talented songwriters and producers, but is now led by some very familiar names in the music world.
I’m sure their talent, charisma and star quality will earn them a lot of fans.
Louis Bloom, Island/EMI
December 10 is managed by a very familiar face to Music week readers: ex-president of 4th Floor Creative – and former winner of Businesswoman Of The Year at the Music Week Women In Music Awards – Cassandra Gracey.
On the label side, they have Island/EMI president Louis Bloom – Island EMI was notably a double winner of the A&R and Record Company award at the 2025 Music Week Awards.
Bloom added: “It’s a huge joy and privilege to be working with Simon again. We’ve been going back for a long time and it’s fair to say that the landscape has changed in many ways since then. What hasn’t changed is the thrill when a unique band with undeniable chemistry comes along. The guys have great voices, incredible energy and are an absolute pleasure to work with and I’m sure their talent, charisma and star quality will earn them masses of fans.”
