Toni Kroos says that Germany is “not in good shape” and “light years” of the World Cup contenders

Former German midfielder Toni Kroos said that the current team is “light years” to win the World Cup.
Germany experienced a mixed international break, losing 2-0 against Slovakia before beating Northern Ireland 3-1 Sunday evening.
Julian Nagelsmann’s team is still the favorites to win group A, but they may have to beat Slovakia in the return of November 17 to ensure their place in the final in the United States, Canada and Mexico next summer.
Kroos rejects the chances of Germany
Kroos, who retired from all football after Euro 2024, thinks that Germany would have no chance against the world’s elite if the World Cup was played now.
Speaking on the Einfach Podcast Mal Luppen whom he organized alongside Brother Felix, Kroos said: “It is true that we are currently light years to be able to talk about the World Cup. But it will not be played this summer. Today, we are really not in good shape. But let’s wait for the good players to come back.
“We are not currently among those who can have great ambitions. There are others that are simply better. However, I think that if everyone is in good shape, we always have qualities. ”
Jamal Musiala, Marc-André ter Stegen and Kai Havertz were one of those who lack the recent double head.
I do not know any player from Northern Ireland or Slovakia – Kroos
Kroos, who enjoyed a sparkling career with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, thinks that despite their problems, Germany should be good enough to emerge from a qualification swimming pool which also contains Luxembourg.
He added: “We are not currently having a group of 50 international stature players. But whatever the team with the games they have, which is enough.
“If you had asked me how many Slovakia or Northern Ireland players I knew, it would be exactly zero.
“Squad of fortune or not, against this type of team, it should be sufficient. Great luck is that we have a group that you can hardly be eliminated. ”
The next two games in Germany, during the international break in October, come to host Luxembourg before visiting Belfast to face Northern Ireland.
