Say goodbye to one of the most beloved television series of the 21st century.
Netflix is removing seasons 1-5 of “Prison Break” this month. The exact departure date is January 29, 2026.
The series, which first aired on Fox in 2005, follows two incarcerated brothers. In it, Michael (Wentworth Miller) attempts to help his brother Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) escape from death row and clear his name for a crime he did not commit.
Season 1 of “Prison Break” gave Fox its highest ratings in nearly a decade, attracting an average audience of ten million viewers each week. In fact, “Prison Break” did so well that its original 13-episode run was expanded to 22 episodes.
It’s unclear if Netflix will add the series again in the future, so this may be the last chance to watch it for quite a while. However, all is not lost.
For viewers with a Disney+ subscription, the show is currently available in all five seasons.
