Does Jonah Markham die NCIS: Tony and Ziva season 1 finale?

Jonah Markham dies at the end of NCIS: Tony and Ziva season 1 finale, but not Aaron Graves’ Reigning Fire system which was turned against him. He didn’t die on Isla Zafira by pure luck. With the help of Dejan Lazar, Boris reprograms 9.4 so that it turns against Jonas. Instead of giving him power, he becomes the target of 9.4.
This leads to action-packed sequences in NCIS: Tony and Ziva season 1 episode 10, with the Reigning Fire drones chasing Jonah driving in a Jeep. Unfortunately, Tony and Ziva have to shoot those drones because Tali is in the back of the Jeep and is about to become collateral damage. In a way, they’re helping Jonas stay alive, which is the opposite of what Ziva wants.
And just as a fighter jet is about to send a missile at Jonah, 9.4 is taken out of the system to save Tali, unaware that Tony and Tali have already jumped out of the Jeep. Jonah Markham is saved, but Martine stops him. And while he is alive, he is about to spend his life in prison until he commits suicide using a sheet.
This is a reported suicide, but since Martine strangely knows what happened to her before she even receives the news of her death, it makes it seem like foul play.

However, the finale brings the couple full circle, with both finally deciding to start dating. They also told their daughter, Tali, about their decision, with Tony even joking that if Tali says no, he will leave Ziva immediately. But Tali remains indifferent to everything that happened and only asked one thing from her parents: to take it slowly this time.
