Another important rise for Sorana Cîrstea in the WTA rankings: the situation of players in Romania

Sorana Cîrstea recorded a new jump in the WTA Singles ranking, with the 35-year-old players climbing another six places, up to 58. She is closing in on Jaqueline Cristian, the Romanian athlete with the highest ranking: 48th place.

If Sorana has returned to the world hierarchy, things are not the same for Gabriela Ruse, Anca Todoni, Irina Begu and Miriam Bulgaru.

They all lost places in the WTA Singles rankings.
