Nature Festival launched on Exmoor National Park

People are invited to “connect with nature” when launching a two -week festival to celebrate Exmoor National Park.

The Exmoor Nature Festival takes place from May 17 to June 1 and offers activities such as natural walks, art sessions and yoga.

The organizers said they hoped that the participants were “inspired to help us take care of this very special landscape”.

Experts also offer conferences on subjects such as mushrooms and bird life, while children have the chance to meet one of the famous Soute Ponays in the park.

Festival organizer Julie Colman, coordinator of rural companies in Exmoor National Park, said: “The national parks were created to help support the health and well-being of nations and it is a real opportunity for everyone to connect with nature.

“Not only do people learn flora and exmoor fauna, but we hope to be inspired to help us take care of this very special landscape.”

Information on the various events and activities is available on the USOOR Nation Park website and in its visitors to Dulverton, Dunster and Lynmouth.
