The firefighters are fighting against a brush fire burning in the Montecito Heights region on Saturday.

It was reported for the first time around 7:50 p.m. in the Ernest E. Debs regional park, located at 4235 N. Monterey Road, according to the Los Angeles fire service.

The ground and air response teams were sent to fight the fire, which, according to the firefighters, “burned up” in a medium to heavy brush. They said that gusts of wind up to 15 miles per hour helped the flames.

No evacuation order has been issued and no injury has been reported.

It is a story in development. Come back for more details.
