Nashville SC faces a familiar opponent in his quest to win his first trophy.
Nashville will face Orlando City in the eighth round of the United States at May 16 on May 21 (6.30 p.m. CT, Paramount +) at the Orlando Stadium. Nashville beat Wolves Red Chattanooga 1-0 on May 6 to advance in the oldest football competition in the country, while Orlando City beat the Tampa Bay Rowdies 5-0 on May 7.
The winner of NSC-Orlando will go to the quarter-finals, which are scheduled from July 8 to 9 against Charlotte FC or DC United.
Nashville and Orlando have a lot of history: the golden boys beaten the 3-1 lions in the first round of the MLS 2021 eliminatory series, while Orlando made the favor in 2023 with a scan of the playoffs in the first round. Orlando eliminated Nashville in penalties in the quarter -final of the open 2022 Cup, which marked the deepest Nashville race in the tournament.
The two teams went to solid departures in 2025. Nashville (7-4-3, 24 points) is fifth of the Eastern Conference and has not lost in six games. Orlando (6-2-6, 24 points) is fourth in the east, ahead of Nashville on the goal differential, and is on a sequence of 12 undefeated games.
The US Open Cup is a single elimination tournament with 96 teams from different levels of the American football pyramid. The matches equally after 90 minutes will be decided with two additional 15 -minute periods, followed by a penalty shootout if the game is still equal.
