The media are invited to hear the NASA CREW-10 SpaceX at a press conference from 10:40 a.m. HAE, Friday, July 25 of the international space station.
Astronauts from NASA Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, Jaxa (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) Astronaut Takuya Onishi and Roscosmos Cosmonaut Kirill Peskov will discuss their next return to Earth on the agency’s Youtube channel.
The media interested in participating must contact the editorial hall of the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston at the latest at 5 p.m., Thursday July 24 at 281-483-511 or jsccommu@mail.nasa.gov. To ask questions, the media must go to the press conference no later than 10 minutes before the start of the call. A copy of the NASA media accreditation policy is online.
CREW-10 joined the 72 shipment crew when it arrived at the station in March. Throughout the shipment 72 and in Expedition 73, the crew on board the space station has contributed to hundreds of experiences, in particular by testing expanded capacities of the existing material for pharmaceutical production in space, by studying how cells feel of gravity, which is an important aspect of spatial biology, and on the examination of the effects of microgravity on potential microalgia, Potential for life support, fuel and food on long -term missions.
The crew will leave the space station after the arrival of the crew-11 and a transfer period. Before the return of the crew-10, the mission teams will examine the weather conditions on the splash sites off the coast of California before the departure of the station.
The mission is part of the NASA commercial crew program, which provides reliable access to space, maximizing the use of the station for research and development and supporting future missions beyond Bow Earth Orbit by associating with private companies to transport astronauts to and from the space station.
