“Can we go back? I’d like another…” It’s time for another recap of this past year at the movies. While waiting for David Ehrlich’s annual countdown video (which will arrive at the beginning of January), here’s another one that looks back at the best of the year. This video countdown is made by movie buffs Kyle Wilson And Patrick Ryan – presenting their combined choices for the 25 best films of 2025. It’s time to find out what won them over in 2025! (Watch their 2024 video here.) This also includes a very entertaining montage – an intro filled with other films that didn’t make the cut and an awesome soundtrack of songs for their look back at the year at the movies. I’m very happy to see a number of more unique picks in their Top 25, including Mickey 17, Roofer, Friendship (hilarious movie), Eephus (still as good), Black bag, Blue Moonand even the very funny continuation of the inheritance The naked gun. It’s also worth noting that they used this Hamnet shot for the title card in the video, but surprisingly Hamnet is nowhere to be found in this Top 25. So be it. Lots more to celebrate.
