Neymar, Toni Kroos among the stars to congratulate Carlos Alcaraz for the victory of the French Open

With regular European football seasons now, fans have sought elsewhere to get their sports solution – at least until the Club World Cup starts on June 14.

Those who have passed on the final of the French Open certainly obtained their solution – then some – as they witnessed one of the biggest tennis matches of all time.

In an epic of five sets and half past five, the Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz came from two sets – saving several championship points along the way – to defeat Jannik Sinner and claim his second consecutive title of Roland Garros and the fifth Grand Chelem of his young career.

While the dust settled, congratulations flooded for the 22 -year -old phenomenon, including some of the biggest names and clubs of the World Football, many of whom were clearly looking at.

Real Madrid, the support of the Alcaraz club, has led tributes, publishing: “All the Madridistas are happy and proud of this brilliant success obtained by one of ours.”

The former midfielder, Toni Kroos, took over a photo of himself in 2022 with Alcaraz-originally subtitled “The Future. And me”. – This time, adding a short sufficient follow -up: “You said it.”

The real reality n ° 1 Thibaut Courtois published a photo of Alcaraz in his Instagram stories, writing: “Brutal”. Vinícius Jr. also shared a photo of the Spanish raising the trophy, with the legend in a word: “Madness”—Neaning “Madness” in Spanish.

Elsewhere, the Brazilian star Neymar Jr. – that Alcaraz previously quoted as one of his favorite players of all time – also proposed his congratulations, just like the Tottenham striker and England Dominic Solanke.

Curiously, a large -scale absence from the congratulating choir was the Spanish football national team.

Although he was seen before the match shaken around a phone watching the Alcaraz final, the team ended their night on a sour note – losing against Portugal in penalties in the UEFA Nations League final – and the team and its players did not have public tribute to their compatriot.

Although the lack of congratulations from his Spanish compatriots has been able to raise some eyebrows, it is unlikely that he will bother Alcaraz – given the almost universal adulation he received from the rest of the sports world.
