N ° 6 Texas A&M to minimize penalties against the state of Mississippi

The first third of the season was a great success for Texas A&M.
AGGIES N ° 6 have been 4-0 for the first time since 2016, and they have equaled their highest ranking in the AP survey during the last four seasons.
The next test occurs Saturday evening against the state of Mississippi at College Station, Texas.
“What I would say about our players is that it was a hard blow for the children who have been in this program for four years,” said second -year coach Mike Elko. “They learn that they have the capacity to control the results of the games, and it is a powerful state of mind.”
The Aggies then beaten. 8 Notre Dame 41-40 on the road two weeks ago and won his opening match of the Southeast Conference against Auburn 16-10 at home last Saturday.
Texas A&M held the Tigers at 177 yards in total and did not convert on 13 thirds or two fourth stockings.
But there is still room for improvement.
Texas A&M was penalized 13 times for 119 yards against Auburn, a week after being penalized 13 times for 86 yards.
“This is something we have to be repaired and addressed,” said Elko about offenses. “We will not continue to win matches if we do not solve this problem.”
The Aggies have shown more discipline in their first two games of the season, having committed seven penalties during an opening victory against the UTSA and only five the following week against the state of Utah.
Although Texas A&M was never able to establish a comfortable advance against Auburn, the senior ball carrier Le’Veon Moss helped the Aggies stay in control by rushing for 139 yards and marking the only hit of the team.
The state of the Mississippi (4-1, 0-1 sec) comes from its first defeat of the season, 41-34 in overtime against the visit of Tennessee last Saturday. The Bulldogs are still looking for their first conference victory under the direction of the second year coach Jeff Lebby.
Despite this, Lebby said that the team had shown “a ton of growth” in loss of the time. 15 volunteers, the closest defeat of the dry of the Bulldogs in his mandate.
“The thing that I was most proud of was, without a doubt, how things had gone from the game to play 87,” said Lebby. “Our guys continued to play and believed that we are filling the football match all the time. There was great energy.”
Fluff Bothwell had his second consecutive match on the ground of 100 yards, finishing with 134 yards and his fifth and sixth affected by the season.
Bulldogs are ready to play their first match outside the Mississippi. They started the season with a road victory against Southern Miss before playing four consecutive home games.
Lebby said the visit to College Station is “good enough” because the state of the Mississippi has an open date next week before visiting Florida a week later.
“I think the coolest thing about the road to this conference is that we have 74 guys on the plane to go to play in front of more than 100,000 people,” said Lebby. “It is about doing us and having the right mindset and the right mentality to play a game at a time and give us the best chance to go win.”
