“My time may not be far away,” WWE star says after John Cena and AJ Styles’ retirement announcement.

Two of WWE’s biggest superstars, John Cena and AJ Styles, are expected to hang up their wrestling cleats in the coming time. The duo could soon be joined by another big name who has hinted he is in the twilight phase of his wrestling career.
John Cena is currently in the middle of his retirement tour and only has 4 appearances left on WWE programming. The Cenation Leader will put on his wrestling boots for the last time on December 13. Meanwhile, AJ Styles has also made it clear that he will retire next year. The Phenomenal One even bid farewell to Japanese fans during the December 18 live event in Tokyo, confirming that he wrestled in his last match in the Land of the Rising Sun.
Shinsuke Nakamura, who was also in action at the aforementioned house show, sent an emotional message after the event. The king of strong style showed his love for his home country.
“What a special place Japan is, especially for those of us who wrestle. Like AJ said, it’s a place worth giving everything you have. Of course, that’s true all over the world… but there’s something sacred here. I don’t know if it’s because I’m Japanese, but I think the wrestlers and fans who shared this space all felt the same way. Maybe.”
Nakamura also mentioned that although he still has some things to do, his in-ring career is coming to an end.
“John Cena, AJ – they all chose to walk away from the ring. It reminds me that my time may not be far away. But I still have things to do. I’m still fighting, I’m still fighting, I don’t know what tomorrow brings. All I can do is live this day with everything I have. Thank you. If only…one more…”
