The WWDC 2025, the Conference of Apple developers, will start on Monday June 9, and there is pressure on the company to match, if not at the top, what it has done in the past. The Vision Pro in 2023. Apple Intelligence in 2024. What big announcement arrived in 2025?
During its last two WWDC events, Apple embarked on new territories, jumping both in the RA / VR and the generator. But with the professional vision and Apple Intelligence having faced slow and strongly criticized departures, the great message of WWDC this year does not seem to be clear. Apple could focus on the overhaul of the operating system and progressive improvements at all levels.
WWDC is usually a showcase for Apple’s future ideas. This is also where the company discusses its developer tools, as you can imagine. And this is where the overviews of all the new versions of the operating system are revealed, giving an early overview of what happens on the iPhone, iPad, Mac and other Apple devices.
It is possible that Apple reveals a new domestic device – a homepod compatible with the display – or even a new Apple pencil with a calligraphy mode. OS per year: Will it be iOS 26?
Recent reports by Mark Gurman often correct from Bloomberg say that Apple will abandon the existing numbered operating system agreement that it is used for years and go with another approach to the name: label all annual ESS per year. Instead of iOS 19, we will have iOS 26. And iPados 26, and MacOS 26, and Watchos 26, TVOS 26, Visionos 26. Apple’s numbering was quite disjointed because the figures are increasing in several categories of devices. An annual number would at least help people to know if they are on the current version.

Bloomberg’s Gurman reported a major cross-design change change, calling it a spectacular overhaul and one of the largest apples made in years. The iPhone, but I hope that the Apple Watch too – these are the products in the range that I find that I must invoice more than I want. The reports suggest that it will be something like a homepod now – compatible with speakers, with a range of microphones – but with a touch screen. Could it be a screen big enough to act as a photo frame, or something more like a control panel? Where would this thing live, exactly? And what would it cost? Originally, the reports of this device even suggested a robotic arm that would allow the screen to follow your face, but these plans seem to be out of the table for the moment.
