My predictions of WWDC 2025: iOS 26, game, health and more awaited Monday

The WWDC 2025, the Conference of Apple developers, will start on Monday June 9, and there is pressure on the company to match, if not at the top, what it has done in the past. The Vision Pro in 2023. Apple Intelligence in 2024. What big announcement arrived in 2025?

During its last two WWDC events, Apple embarked on new territories, jumping both in the RA / VR and the generator. But with the professional vision and Apple Intelligence having faced slow and strongly criticized departures, the great message of WWDC this year does not seem to be clear. Apple could focus on the overhaul of the operating system and progressive improvements at all levels.

WWDC is usually a showcase for Apple’s future ideas. This is also where the company discusses its developer tools, as you can imagine. And this is where the overviews of all the new versions of the operating system are revealed, giving an early overview of what happens on the iPhone, iPad, Mac and other Apple devices.

It is possible that Apple reveals a new domestic device – a homepod compatible with the display – or even a new Apple pencil with a calligraphy mode. But the greatest rumors to date suggest a new overhaul and renowned cross-os which could be the way Apple diverts attention from not having great AI features to show.

Look at this: WWDC 25: Expect big changes to iOS, but not much on a smarter siri

OS per year: Will it be iOS 26?

Recent reports by Mark Gurman often correct from Bloomberg say that Apple will abandon the existing numbered operating system agreement that it is used for years and go with another approach to the name: label all annual ESS per year. Instead of iOS 19, we will have iOS 26. And iPados 26, and MacOS 26, and Watchos 26, TVOS 26, Visionos 26. Samsung made a similar movement in 2020, with Galaxy S10 jump in 2019 at the Galaxy S20 in 2020.

Apple’s numbering was quite disjointed because the figures are increasing in several categories of devices. An annual number would at least help people to know if they are on the current version.

Glass as a new look

The WWDC invites, with a transparent foggy ring, indicates a recourse reported from all the company’s software to a new “Glass” look. Bloomberg’s Gurman reported a major cross-design change change, calling it a spectacular overhaul and one of the largest apples made in years. The design can reflect the sensation of visionos of vision pro, which has a lot of frosted windows, diapers of transparency and icons of the circular application. Jon Prosser on Front Page Tech has shown an overview of the expected design based on the information of its sources, and it seems definitely Visionos-Esque.

Beyond a layer of paint, will the dare start to also feel more similar accordingly? I am particularly curious to know how iPados and macOS start to get even closer. Apple’s iPad has slowly progressed to act as a computer, with features such as the stage manager for multitasking, and it is inevitable that the tablet line ends up offering an experience comparable to the MacBook.

The Apple Watch is already undergoing sleep and numerous health measures, but it does not yet use AI to create detailed information.

Watchos should obtain an apple intelligence, and the health application can be part of it

So far, one of the devices that has missed Apple Intelligence has been Apple Watch, and which should change soon. Apple should put more AI on the next watch operating system, which could help with messages of messages, translation and perhaps even the composition of messages. This could also bring health and fitness upgrades late. The reports indicate that Apple could work on the addition of information generating AI to its health application data and even to use AI as a medical service, with a launch target of 2026. Health could possibly obtain a paid subscription level, similar to fitness and what many current Apple services add. This could be like what Google does with Wear OS, which has long used Fitbit Premium as a health subscription (a wider deployment of Gemini is also on the track).

I like AI coaching and ideas on a watch, but I don’t like subscriptions. We will see what is happening and if Apple enters one of these future plans in this WWDC.

Battery autonomy booss

Another recent report (once again, Gurman) says that AIA will help Apple improve battery life on its devices. How many devices? The iPhone, but I hope that the Apple Watch too – these are the products in the range that I find that I must invoice more than I want. For me, at least, iPads and Macs are generally well on the life of the battery, but I will never refuse the lifespan of the battery longer for anything.

Apple has made progressive increases in its battery characteristics over time, but perhaps there will be more intelligently applied feeding modes this time.

The Backbone Pro is one of the many game controllers for iOS that already exist. Will Apple make a smoother interface for the game on its devices?

Game News?

Apple can still push the importance of games, just like the Nintendo Switch 2 Beginnings. Bloomberg reports that the company could publish a new application to act as a center for games and game services, including Apple Arcade, becoming a late Game Center overhaul.

A certain number of game controller accessories, such as Backbone, already have application hubs that work like game launchers, but Apple has never done much to help organize games on its devices in a way that looks more like what you find on a console. A new application also seems to be a good adjustment for these types of controllers.

Apple has just acquired its first game studio: Rac7, the developers of the successful game Apple Arcade Sneaky Sasquatch.

Apple could also have VR gaming news, if older reports become reality: the VR 2 PlayStation controllers should work with the Vision Pro helmets, in a thrust to extend the games to the Apple VR / AR helmet. Perhaps this will be part of a push to get more developers on board, because Apple could prepare a less expensive version of the professional vision over the next year. Currently, the helmet cannot compete with Meta’s more affordable quest headsets in the Games department.

AI: Live translation, and perhaps the progress of the vision camera

Apple opened access to the camera to business developers last year, and it is now time for AI tools to emerge for everyone – tools that could Helps to describe what you seeOr help you remember things too. Apple has already added assistance management for certain functions compatible with cameras on pro vision and other products, suggesting more to come.

Although the opening presentation of Apple WWDC should not include many advertisements of AI progress, the company has yet to compete with Google, open AI, perplexity and many others that make such progress. The reports indicate that live translation will arrive at certain Airpods models, which would reflect what Google and Meta have been make on glasses and headphones and on phones.

The biggest visionos movement I expected to see is an introduction to the conscious AI of the camera. Apple Intelligence made its debut on the VR / AR AR ARS space helmet Earlier this yearBut none of the AI can take advantage of the cameras of the system to “see” what you see. At least not yet. The use of Gemini by Google to access the cameras on Casques and glasses to comeAnd Meta’s support for the access to the camera for quest developers (and its IA expansion tools on the shelves of rays), suggest that Apple must move in this way now to start opening a way for the camera to work on future helmets and possibly glasses.

Apple pencil

We could see a brand new Apple pencil or updated features that make the current device feel new, according to a Bloomberg report. Expect to see a new digital feature of the annular calligraphy pen unveiled. It is not clear if this new software will be both for the original Apple pencil and the Apple Crayer 2, or if we will really see a whole new version of the stylus.

A new HomePod-Slash-Ipad?

There could be a new product emerging at WWDC: an overview of a long -term homepod that can be part of a greater push in smarter intelligent technology. The reports suggest that it will be something like a homepod now – compatible with speakers, with a range of microphones – but with a touch screen. Could it be a screen big enough to act as a photo frame, or something more like a control panel? Where would this thing live, exactly? And what would it cost? Originally, the reports of this device even suggested a robotic arm that would allow the screen to follow your face, but these plans seem to be out of the table for the moment.

Of all the products of Joker Apple products could announce during this show, it seems most likely.

Wwdc / gurman posterri

There are, of course, a number of other rumors of Gurman. Here are some that attracted our attention:

  • Messages application: iOS could get the possibility of adding backgrounds to cats and group cats.
  • Ipados: Apple can reveal an iPados version of the preview application.
  • Ipados: Multitacious MacOS type could come to the iPad.
  • Application of the iPhone camera: The interface could focus on the overhaul of facilitating it.

We will know soon

WWDC occurs on June 9With streaming video presentation at 10 a.m. to 10 a.m. Pacific. We will also be there in Apple Park, covering it in person. We will know more about how all these software could refer to new products and receive a recording on where exactly Apple is with its AI strategies. And maybe we will also have a little new products – you never know.
