Mushroom killer Erin Patterson was found guilty after trial in Australia

Erin Patterson was found guilty of having murdered three parents with poisonous mushrooms following a trial that seized the world.

The 50 -year -old Australian woman was found guilty of these three counts plus one of the murder attempts a few hours ago after a week of jury deliberations.

Patterson was accused of having tried to kill four parents with mushrooms from the death cap in a Wellington beef that she served them in 2023. A local pastor, married to the sister of Patterson’s mother, is the only person to have survived. He recovered after weeks of treatment at the hospital. The mother and stepfather of Patterson plus the sister of the mother-in-law died.

The case has aroused media attention in the world. The television drama even took note. As we revealed last week, the ABC of Australia achieves a series entitled Toxic About Patterson, who will be created by Elise McCredie (Jack Irish) and Tony Ayres (The survivors).

According to BBC News, the prosecutors argued that Patterson had simulated a cancer diagnosis to love the guests at her house, then poisoned them and then claimed that she was sick. She admitted to having lied to the police and medical staff throughout the trial period. She had repeatedly denied putting toxic mushrooms in the express meal and said that she had taken her several days to realize that she may have accidentally included dried mushrooms that she had stored in a container, according to information.

Patterson will be sentenced to a later date. The BBC reports that it could be sentenced to a complete prison sentence.
