Daniel Day-Lewis is finally back, and he is the director with whom he should team up to make the history of the Oscars

Daniel Day-Lewis has three best actor victories of his six nominations, more than anyone, but he is equal with Jack Nicholson (which has two best players and a best support actor) and Walter Brennan (which has three best support players) in terms of total statues. Another victory would make him the most decorated male actor in the history of the Oscars, which seems to be a particularly feasible goal since Brennan died and that Nicholson has not been in a film for 15 years – although it does not give him a tie with Katharine HepburnWho has four best victories of the actress and is therefore the most famous interpreter of any gender identity in the history of the Academy. If Day-Lewis wants to opt for this crown, there is an emblematic filmmaker with which he should (finally) get on board: Quentin Tarantino.

Why should Daniel Day-Lewis finally work with Quentin Tarantino?

Day-Lewis has already worked with some of the greatest name directors, such as Michael Mann,, Martin Scorsesethe aforementioned Paul Thomas AndersonAnd Steven SpielbergBut the list of famous directors he doesn’t Worked with is also long. But even it does not seem to be as sure as the day of Day-Lewis with Tarantino, at least in terms of glory to the Oscars, in part because it would be a very good story so that the Academy clings. Day-Lewis would have liked to play Vincent Vega pulp Fiction After reading the script decades ago, but Tarantino never wanted John Travolta to the role, and the two ultimately never ended up working together. The Cinematic Academy would get its votes before you even know what the film would speak. Or, given the precious Tarantino about his final film (which, once again, is based on a decision he has taken for himself and could come back at any time), it could take some time for him to engage in something he is really satisfied with. In this case, he should simply announce that he will do it with Daniel Day-Lewis and stop there, allowing us everyone to bask in the potential of a film that could never be done. Day-Lewis would never get the last Oscar or two he needs, but it is prudent to assume that he cares less than us.
