“ Mother of Flies ” wins the first Fantasia prize, “he finishes” the best first feature

The Association du Québec des Critiques de cinema has chosen “The Virgin of the Quarry Lake” by Laura Casabe for its AQCC Prize, praising its “judicious balance between the history of the transition to adulthood, for its strong symbolism linked to the crises of Argentina in the 21st century and for the excellent performances of all actresses.”
